episode summary
A exploitative photographer suggests Aveline should pose topless - but soon regrets his suggestion. Meanwhile, Jack makes an inauspicious entry into the art world. Comedy, starring Gilly Coman and Victor McGuire.  A photographer suggests Aveline should pose topless and wishes he hadn't, while Jack makes an inauspicious entry into the art world.

fun and viewer review
This is rare or unique for a sitcom to reference past comments and events in previous episodes. Usually episodes are treated as if they're almost separate worlds from the rest. At least with sitcoms in the 70s and 80s.

The Boswells give Freddie's seafaring brother a fitting send-off

episode summary
Freddie's sea-faring brother dies, so the Boswells decide it would be fitting to arrange a burial at sea. Carla Lane's comedy, starring Jean Boht and Ronald Forfar

fun and viewer review
Wow, so many memories, used to love this show! The family name of Boswell had been used in her previous Scouse-based comedy, The Liver Birds and many of the names and traits had already been established in that series. Its popularity rivalled EastEnders; attracting 21 million viewers at its peak, Bread was one of the few programmes to break the soap's stranglehold on the TV charts at the time and, indeed, could almost have been called a comic soap opera itself.
