 episode summary
It's Mr. Brown's birthday and everyone in the class has brought him a present. However it's not all happy returns when Ms. Couteney informs Mr. Brown that his trial month is over and she is not satisfied with his teaching. Miss Courtney reminds Jeremy that his month's trial is up and he is being replaced by another teacher, which upsets all his students.

fun and viewer review
Dino Shafeek who played the character Ali was a personal friend of mine who I knew up to his sad and early death , an amazing man and a great talent , also an accomplished musician as well as a great actor , i used to spend many a happy day with him pr when i used to visit him at his flat in sw london back in the 80`s before he died . . .
This is the 70s ,not so long after the partition many Hindus used to converse and write in Urdu. Interesting fact: The Hindu nationalist Arya Samaj from its inception till the late 40s used to use Urdu to publish its propaganda.
Absolutely superb. I remember watching this as a kid, and I can't believe it's even funnier now! The warmth of all the characters is so endearing. It's got a great script, and the obvious stereotypes are fine because they are all funny and likeable. I know the PC idiots don't want us watching this, but I can't see anything offensive about all of these nations being represented by good hearted and hilarious characters.
